ABOUT THE ART WORK

What is the story behind the artwork?

It was my first solo trip abroad while dealing with a mental condition that made me feel like I was dreaming all the time. Looking up to the sky always made me feel more grounded and present, as the sky was always out of reach anyway.
As I stood there in the middle of a European winter, I caught myself missing the sun of middle east and the blooming dandelion field not far from my apartment. Suddenly there it was right above me, flowing with the wind across the sky. A moment when I wasn’t sure what is real and what is a memory, a moment this photograph was taken.
